The Carraya system was a star with an associated star system located in the Carraya sector of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant, an F class star whose orbit contained at least four planets. By the end of the Earth-Romulan War, this system was outside of the Romulan Star Empire, in space that borders the Federation and the Klingon Empire. (ST reference: Star Charts)
