In terms of categories, we have Aquatic craft and Seagoing vessels. What is the difference between the two? We could probably differentiate between 1) water-based craft only and 2) craft that can go into water but also elsewhere (like Monean starships and the Aquashuttle). Thoughts? 'Seagoing' is flawed terminology - not all water is 'sea' -- captainmike Wiki-wordmark 12:20, May 4, 2018 (UTC)
Presently "Seagoing vessels" seems to apply to military ships capable only of surface operations in Earth's oceans. "Aquatic craft" seems an umbrella for any water-only ship. Multipurpose craft like the Aquashuttle don't seem to have their own category, if that's helpful?--Meacott (talk) 12:33, May 4, 2018 (UTC)
There's no reason to sort it into two different categories. the larger scope of 'aquatic craft' allows all water vessels regardless of size or modification. The category 'seagoing vessels' is unnecessary and can be absorbed into 'aquatic craft'. multipurpose vessels can be dual categorized between the aquatic craft category and whatever other attributes they possess -- captainmike Wiki-wordmark 12:36, May 4, 2018 (UTC)
I've taken the liberty of emptying and deleting "seagoing vessels". - Bell'Orso (talk) 16:35, May 4, 2018 (UTC)
