Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! As always, the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Strange New Worlds and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG and Star Trek Online, as well as other eventful releases such as Section 31, the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

Suggestion: A lot of these authors are one story winners of the strange new worlds competition, how about a strange new worlds authors or SNW authors subcategory for all of those, and then anyone who then goes onto write other short stories, novellas or novels gets upgraded into the main authors category? Also I think an in-universe authors category would be good for fictional and historic authors, eg anyone listed here who hasn’t actually written a star trek story. -- 8of5 01:48, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Bump, any objections to the above idea before I start? With the slight modification to the above proposal that the SNW writers cat should include all SNW writers and then any one of those people who goes on to writing another trek story out of SNW is listed in the authors cat as well as rather than instead of SNW writers cat. -- 8of5 21:12, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Definitely a good idea. I think the set-up should be, Category:Authors for the in-universe authors, Category:Star Trek authors for the real world authors, and Category:SNW writers for the SNW writers, like you suggested. --The Doctor 21:20, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
