Catullans were a humanoid species from Catulla, a civilization that was a member of the Federation by the 23rd century. (TOS episode & Star Trek 5 novelization: The Way to Eden)

History and Culture[]

Catullans could knock out an individual by pressing both thumbs against the side of the victim's neck below the ears. This ability was similar to the Vulcan nerve pinch. (TOS episode & Star Trek 5 novelization: The Way to Eden)

In 2268, a Catullan man was among the Federation delegates ferried to Babel by the USS Enterprise. He wore an outfit resembling the uniform of Ssessekh Gorn. (STO - Agents of Yesterday mission: "Return to Babel")

In 2269, the Catullan government and the Federation where in the process of negotiating a new treaty. The negotiations were fragile. In that year, Tongo Rad, son of a Catullan ambassador, inadvertently endangered the negotiations when he joined the Eden Movement.
