Certax Alpha was a star system, located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[edit | edit source]

The Certax Alpha system's orbit was the location a planetary system, including Taunus.

In the year 2267, a surveyor starship visited the Certax Alpha system and crashed on Taunus.

Six weeks later, Nyota Uhura aboard the starship USS Enterprise picked up the surveyor's automated SOS while the ship was traversing the Certax Alpha system, and a search party was sent aboard the Galileo to recover the missing crew. (TOS comic: "The Aging World")
