The Chandra system is a star system containing at least five planets located at the edge of 23rd century Federation space, on its border with the Klingon Empire in the Beta Quadrant.

History and specifics[]

The Chandra system was site of one of the opening moves of the Federation-Klingon War of 2267. The Klingons occupied Chandra IV eight months prior, enslaving its industrial pre-warp civilization to manufacture weapons. The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) was sent there to disrupt these supplies in preparation for the war, which after much diplomatic effort, Starfleet saw as inevitable.
