Chantal Coquillette was a human female who served on the SS Valiant as a medic under Captain Carlos Tarasco. She and Rudolph were called to the bridge when Lieutenant Hollandsworth was injured during the attempt to cross the galactic barrier in 2069. She and the rest of crew later abandoned ship in escape pods and made their way to a class M world, developing telepathic and telekinetic abilities along the way. (TNG novel: The Valiant)
