The Charulhans were a type of sentient alien lifeform, a civilization native to a homeworld located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in the Charulh star system.

History and specifics[]

For seven generations as of the 23rd century, several Charulhan immigrants worked on Andor, usually as miners. During St. John Talbot's assignment there, he negotiated with several Charulhans who had taken several Andorians hostage, hoping to force the government to give them a voice in politics. Talbot sent a message to them, which proved to be a grave insult in the Charulhan culture. The hostages were executed, including the son of the capital city's governor. The Charulhans broke the boy's neck and displayed his body, leaving a note saying the boy had died easily. (TOS novelization: The Final Frontier)
