Chlorine (symbol Cl) is a chemical element, atomic number 17 on the periodic table.

Characteristics and history[]

Chlorine has an atomic mass of 35.453. This element was discovered by Humans for the first time on Earth's European continent, in Sweden in the year 1774. (ST reference: Star Fleet Medical Reference Manual)
