Chocolate mousse is a type of food, a dessert made from chocolate.

In 2294, Maggie Thompson had a chocolate mousse in the USS Enterprise-B's mess hall, and encouraged her friend Demora Sulu to eat one herself, despite her reluctance. Both officers were called to the bridge and the mousse was left behind until it was eaten by Ensign Li. (TOS novel: The Captain's Daughter)

In 2365 of an alternate timeline in which Data had been made Human, Wesley Crusher planned to introduce him to chocolate mousse after he enjoyed a hot fudge sundae. (TNG novel: Metamorphosis)
