Chorym was an inhabited planet in the process of desertification circa the 22nd century. The world's native inhabitation, the Chorymi civilization, were technologically advanced.

History and specifics[]

Around the year 2178 the Chorymi faced a severe drought on their planet and sought food from Akkalla, an ocean planet in the same system with rich maritime ecosystem. They proposed building fleets of flying harvest ships to share the catch with Akkalla and pay with rhipileum, an energy ore abundant on Chorym. Rhipileum fueled Akkalla’s industrial development, significantly advancing their standard of living. (TOS novel: Deep Domain)
