The Chris Pike was a Federation type-15 shuttlecraft, a shuttlepod vehicle in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. In the 2360s, the Chris Pike was assigned to the USS Enterprise as shuttlepod 02.

The Chris Pike was stowed in the main shuttlebay of the Enterprise-D in the year 2365, and was present when Data confronted three Vortek who were hiding in the bay. (TNG comic: "Lifesigns")

In early 2366, Shuttlepod Chris Pike underwent a refit in shuttlebay 4. (TNG episode: "Evolution")

Later in that same year, the Chris Pike had been succeeded in name by a new shuttlepod, the Pike. (TNG episode: "The Most Toys")

The Chris Pike was established by name in a computer display on a viewscreen in TNG episode: "Evolution". The name was not seen in the comic appearance, but the number "02" established it as the same vessel.
