Chronometric radiation is a form of radiation indicative of alterations in the timeline. As the universe attempted to stabilize, the levels of radiation would shrink, approaching zero.

At Stardate 4575.9 the crew of the USS Enterprise encountered a swarm of linked units that artificially aged stars with Chronometric radiation to the point that they would expand or enter the supernova phase of their life so that the units could harvest the released stellar matter in order to refuel themselves and increase their numbers through replication.(TOS comic: "Swarm")

Both the USS Enterprise-D and Goddard noted fluctuating levels of chronometric radiation while they were in an alternate timeline caused by Montgomery Scott rescuing James T. Kirk before he could be absorbed into the Nexus. The levels were strongest whenever a major change occurred - a ship using a gravity slingshot around the Arhennius star to travel into the past, whenever the Guinans came in contact with each other, or when the Enterprise approached the Nexus to return Kirk. (Star Trek novel: Engines of Destiny)

Pascal Boudreaux looked for evidence of chronometric radiation when Kira Nerys arrived in the year 2386 from 2377. Boudreaux could find none, but admitted the involvement of the Prophets could be a reason. (DS9 novel: The Long Mirage)
