Chrysalis was a star system, located in Sector 145 in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. In the 24th century, Captain Jean-Luc Picard was familiar with the Chrysalis system.

Having time travelled to the year 2267, Captain Picard claimed he operated a shipping operation in Sector 145 as far out as the Chrysalis system when he was interrogated by Commodore Travers. (TNG novel: Requiem)
