Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A chuS'ugh was an aggressive-sounding Klingon stringed musical instrument. The one Worf possessed was made of dark, dull-finished wood, and had a pear-shaped soundbox about 60 centimeters high. Its base was wide and tapered into an upper tip holding an air grate, and a short bridge with four coiled string of thick steel. It was played with a bow, and described as sounding like the cries of tortured beasts.

History and specifics[]

Worf played such an instrument during his service on the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D. (TNG novels: Power Hungry, A Rock and a Hard Place)
