Chu Edorlic was a male Human that lived in the 24th century. He was a descendant of a long lost human colony that colonized the planet Footfall. His ancestors were later enslaved by the Tseetsk. He was a slave on Koorn and was a lieutenant of Iarni Koban. (TNG novel: Chains of Command)
In the 2360s decade, Chu encountered the crew of the Federation Starfleet starship USS Enterprise-D. He initially was in awe of the free humans but upon discovering they harbored aliens grew antagonistic towards them, especially toward Counselor Deanna Troi, who he viewed as a freak due to her hybrid Betazoid origins. He was a fanatic and a xenophobic by nature.
After Koban ordered Troi's and Captain Jean-Luc Picard's capture to use as leverage against the Enterprise, Chu was ordered to take them to the Rift to hide the hostages. Kraaxaa-Tseetsk ambushed them and took him, Picard and Troi prisoner. Using his limited knowledge of Sree-Tseetsk, he managed to convey that the human slaves had rebelled against their old enemies.
He and Picard were used as guides by Kraax-koorn-aka to find spare parts for their geo-thermal tap. The two managed to escape thanks to Chu's hidden disruptor stunning their guard. After they found a flyer, Picard used its equipment to contact for help and Chu attempted to retake him hostage. Lieutenant Worf and his security team managed to home in on the signal and subdue him, rescuing the captain. (TNG novel: Chains of Command)
