Kira Nerys heard Keiko O'Brien tell her younger schoolchildren the story of Cinderella. Kira commented that Cinderella was helped by a woman more powerful than the Kai and had to get married when she lost one of her glass slippers. Benjamin Sisko thought Kira had a unique take on the story. (DS9 novel: Warchild)
