Cirini Prime was a planet, an inhabited class M world and the first planet in the Cirini star system, located in the Beta sector block of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. It was the site of the Cirini Prime Colony. (STO - Romulan Mystery mission: "Shadow Play")

History and specifics[]

Cirini Prime Colony

The colony on Cirini Prime.

In the 2400s decade, Cirini Prime was one of several Romulan colonies that had become independent following the destruction of Romulus in the year 2387. In 2409, both the Romulan Republic and the Romulan Star Empire courted Cirini Prime to join their respective governments.

The issue was ultimately decided when Starfleet learned and revealed that the Imperial intelligence organization Tal Shiar worked with the Elachi to abduct citizens from Imperial and breakaway Romulan worlds. Starfleet presented evidence of the destruction of the Virinat colony by a combined Tal Shiar-Elachi force. (STO - Romulan Mystery mission: "Shadow Play")
