Clark was a 23rd century Human woman. She served in Starfleet as a security officer aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2260s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
History[]
In 2266, Clark was a young officer freshly assigned to the Enterprise. She was part of a large security detachment sent to rescue 60 colonists taken hostage by Orion pirates on planet 1324-IV and served under section chief Brantley. Her arm was broken, with injuries that would take weeks to heal properly. After Lara Boyd set her arm, she insisted on joining the follow-up mission to take down the Orion leaders, but squad leader Sam Fuller insisted that she remain behind to defend the rest of the colonists. Clark and her fellow officers were subsequently awarded the Starfleet Citation for Conspicuous Gallantry and the Starfleet Medal of Honor. (TOS - Errand of Vengeance novel: The Edge of the Sword)
Survivors of the 1324-IV mission, including Clark, Luis Benitez, Jon Anderson, Leslie Parish and Adam Jawer, were reassigned to Fuller's squad. After a few weeks her arm had healed, and she joined her squad in battle at planet 7348-II. (TOS - Errand of Vengeance novel: Killing Blow)
Clark and her squad then defended Starbase 42 against an assault by the IKS D'k Tahg. Clark survived the lengthy battle, but Anderson, Benitez, and Fuller were killed. (TOS - Errand of Vengeance novel: River of Blood)
In 2267, Clark and 20 others shared memories of their service with Fuller's father, Michael Fuller. (TOS - Errand of Fury novel: Demands of Honor)
