Clavius Crater is a meteorite impact crater, a landmark on Luna.

History and specifics[]

Clavius Crater is 231 kilometers in diameter and located in the southern hemisphere at coordinates 58.4° S latitude and 14.4° W longitude.

The crater was located south of Tycho crater along the moon's southern region. (Last Unicorn RPG module: Starfleet Academy)

The crater was named for 16th century astronomer Christopher Clavius.
