- For other uses, see Columbus.
The Columbus was a Starfleet shuttlecraft assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2270s decade.
Service history
In the year 2277, the Columbus was one of two Enterprise shuttlecraft assigned to transport crew members to and from the ship to their shore leave on planet Macedon III. Under direct orders to take liberty from Doctor McCoy, Lieutenant Commander Nyota Uhura boarded the Columbus. (TOS - Star Trek II Short Stories short story: "Under Twin Moons")
- The class or registry number of Columbus weren't referenced in "Under Twin Moons". There is a possibility that she was an SW7-class shuttlecraft, which were in service aboard the Enterprise at the same time, or even that this Columbus was the same as the class F Columbus in service aboard the Enterprise in the 2260s.
