Comfort women were females forced into sexual slavery. During the Occupation of Bajor, the Cardassian military sometimes used Bajoran women as comfort women. Other Bajorans labeled them as collaborators. (DS9 episode: "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night")

In 2346, Kira Meru was selected by Basso Tromac to become a comfort woman. (DS9 episode: "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night", ST - Terok Nor novel: Night of the Wolves)

The Bajoran comfort women liked the orange, red, and yellow stained-glass mural of Admiral Alkene which Gul Skrain Dukat had placed in Quark's aboard Terok Nor because the light brought a more Bajoran flush to the gray faces of the Cardassians they were forced to entertain. (DS9 - Millennium novel: The Fall of Terok Nor)

In the mirror universe, Zarale sent away all of his other comfort women after acquiring Keiko Ishikawa, as he no longer required their services. (DS9 - Mirror Universe short story: "A Terrible Beauty")
