For other uses, see Cooper.

Cooper's bioship was a 25th century Undine bioship, a dreadnought modified by Psi Lord Eric Cooper into a control vessel in service in fluidic space in the 2410s decade. This command bioship was unique and capable of coordinating an armada of Undine bioships. This organism was also sentient.

History and specifications[]

Command bioship structure

The Undine shipyard holding Cooper's bioship.

Eric Cooper, an Undine agent posing as the missing Doctor Eric Cooper, oversaw the growth of a unique command bioship inside a structure protected by unnamed Dromias-class bioships in fluidic space. Although it was a modified dreadnought, the organism resembled a contemporary Undine planet killer. The structure it was grown in was located in a region of fluidic space accessible from a quantum singularity in the Northwest Passage in the primary universe. In the year 2410, Cooper maintained a telepathic link with Admiral Tuvok of the USS Voyager. During a showdown inside a mindscape, Tuvok determined the location of the quantum rift used by Cooper to enter the galaxy, the corridor of space known as the Northwest Passage, located in the Delta Quadrant. Voyager and a Khitomer Alliance escort ship entered fluidic space through a rift in the Northwest Passage and arrived at the structure housing Cooper's command bioship. After dispatching the Dromias bioships guarding the Cooper's shipyard, Voyager forced the protective cocoon around Cooper's ship to open. Cooper boasted that his vessel was unique and capable of commanding an armada large enough to cleanse the primary universe of life, or "infestation" as Cooper called it. Admiral Tuvok lead an away team aboard Cooper's bioship, defeated Undine soldiers aboard and forced entry into the command center. While Tuvok conducted mind melds with the creature's nerve clusters, his team members defended him from Psi Lord Cooper and his troops. After the meld was complete, the bioship itself communicated through a floating viewscreen, following Tuvok's argument and rejecting Cooper's. The command bioship dissolved Cooper to "repurpose" him and declared an end in the conflict between the Alliance and the Undine. Voyager and its escort then returned with the away team back aboard to the Northwest Passage. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "Mindscape")
