The Corgal Institute is a Federation research center based on Corgal II.

Following the procedure that reversed Sarina Douglas' catatonic state in 2375, Julian Bashir arranged for Sarina to work with a scientist of the Corgal Research center and live with his family. (DS9 episode: "Chrysalis")

Douglas was awarded a research fellowship at the Corgal Institute in 2376, but later left to pursue a career in Starfleet Intelligence. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Zero Sum Game)
