For other uses, see Corian.

Corian IV was a planet, the fourth planet of the Corian system, located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

By the mid-23rd century, in the 2260s decade, this planet was known to those in the Federation Starfleet as a nondescript, uninteresting world.

Aboard the starship USS Enterprise in the year 2267, Doctor Leonard McCoy was frustrated when Captain James T. Kirk took Ensign Pavel Chekov to investigate Modala instead of himself and Commander Spock. McCoy suggested that junior officers should get their first landing party experience on barren rocks like Corian IV and Nakrazut VII before participating in more complex missions. (TOS - The Modala Imperative comic: "A Little Seasoning")
