Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Cosmic Entity Welfare Society, was an organization dedicated to the rescue, study, and rehoming of cosmic creatures, affectionately referred to as Cosmic Cuties. (ST video game: Infinite)

In the Post-Khitomer era the organization engaged in activism by sending large numbers of old-fashioned letters painstakingly delivered via space shuttle to leaders of the United Federation of Planets, the Cardassian Union, the Romulan Star Empire and the Klingon Empire.

The importance of Xeno-Biodiversity and protection of Endangered Cosmic Entities was layed out in a 150-page manifesto which is sometimes included in their letters.

Members of the organization sometimes refer to them selves as Defender of Cosmic Creatures also engage in poetry.

In ST video game: Infinite players might find a cosmic entity (nicknamed Spot) at a black hole, in or near their territory. The CEWS will then seek to protect and rehome the entity by sending anonymous letters to the leader of the players empire. This can happen to every empire playable in the game: the United Federation of Planets, the Romulan Star Empire, Klingon Empire and Cardassian Union.
