Cronari was a large, populated asteroid located within Federation space somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

It was a popular vacation spot. Unknown to those enjoying the amenities of the resort, a trans-dimensional doomsday cult plotted to kill a number of prominent Federation representatives during their stay.
