Summary[]

Log entries[]

Personal log, USS Euclid.
It's my third week as a cadet aboard the USS Euclid, and things move much faster here than at Starfleet Academy. The Euclid is a Galaxy-class ship led by Captain Coleman and filled with more cadets than I can count. It'll be hard to stand out and earn my first promotion. But there's no time like the present to make a good impression.
Our first assignment is at a Federation research outpost on Arcanis IV, on the outskirts of the Federation-Klingon border. Despite the Khitomer Accords, a Klingon general named Botath has declared his intent to reclaim the Arcanis system. Botath refused to talk with the Vulcan commander of the outpost, so Captain Coleman has been dispatched to negotiate. On the way, I'll be brushing up on my Klingon.
Officer's log, USS Dorcey.
Since today is my first shift with the rank of lieutenant, I was thinking back to my first assignment as a cadet. I remember looking out the window of the starship and feeling like I was a meteor, soaring past planets and stars. I still feel that way, only moving through time rather than space. The years have flown by since that first day on the Euclid.
My new assignment is on the USS Dorcey, a Nebula-class starship led by Captain Markham. We are heading toward an uncharted star system on the edge of the Alpha Quadrant. The USS Ephemeris was exploring the system when Starfleet lost all contact with them. It's now our duty to locate them, and find out why they went silent.
Captain's log, USS Radiant.
The years since my first run-in with the Borg have been a trial by fire. The cube we encountered went on to initiate the infamous Battle of Wolf 359. Although the Federation was finally able to destroy the cube, too many ships, and the thousands of souls on them, were lost.
Since that fateful day, we haven't heard from the Borg, and Starfleet has been rebuilding its forces. Now it is my honor to serve as the captain of the USS Radiant, a newly-commissioned Defiant-class ship.
She has a modest complement of forty officers, but an important purpose: to defend the Federation from hostility. Rather than a mission of exploration, ours is one of courage and hope. My the Radiant serve as a beacon for those who need her and a warning against those who would test her.
