Crystalline Catastrophe is a Federation faction-specific mission in the game Star Trek Online; it involves the attack of a semi-randomly-appearing Crystalline Entity by a large fleet of cooperating players.

"Catastrophe" is considered one of the more difficult, if not outright impossible missions, and very few players have successfully completed it.

Regardless of ability, "Crystalline Catastrophe" requires a large, well-equipped and tightly-corrdinated team, and solo players are advised not to attempt this mission.

A revamped version of the mission went live in April, 2013, making it much less difficult.
