Doctor Culla was a scientist who first theorized the creation of a "Midnight Sphere," a spherical shell of plasma and gas which would absorb all light and sensor beams, making the object within invisible from outside observers. Dr. Culla's theories were later used by B6 Blue, "Bishop", and Spock to construct a large Midnight Sphere to encompass the secret Starfleet facility known as "The Yard".
