Curtis A. Wellborn was a Human man who lived on Earth during the 20th century, a boyfriend of Roberta Lincoln.

Biography[]

In the year 1970, Wellborn lived near Illinois State University, where he directed a pacifist anti-Vietnam War group that included Brian, Dexter, Steve, Tanya Neal, and Lincoln. During a peace march, one of the protesters attempted to incite a riot by thowing a glass bottle at a National Guardsman, but Wellborn interceded, imploring the sergeant in charge not to respond with violence that would lead to a national tragedy.

Wellborn and Lincoln became romantically involved. When Wellborn was kidnapped by clone soldiers, Lincoln and Aegis agents Gary Seven and Isis rescued him. Wellborn proved himself resourceful enough that Seven let him keep his memories of the incident.

Three months later, Wellborn was drafted into the United States Military Forces. He had been expecting it, and after seeing the impact that one person such as Seven or Lincoln could make on the world, he felt he could make a difference. Unfortunately, he was killed not long afterward, on 25 December 1970.

His service was later commemorated on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. Lincoln made a point of visiting the memorial annually in his honor. (TOS - Assignment: Earth comic: "My Name Is Legion")
