Cybernetics is a discipline of science that deals with the study of communication of information in systems, either in the life processes of lifeforms and their interactions or in the programming and operation of technology. Since both life and technology are evaluated, this study can also apply to combinations of technology with living things.

History and specificsEdit

Notable cyberneticists included Noonien Soong, Jackson Roykirk and Cren Veruda. (TNG episode: "Brothers", TOS episode: "The Changeling", DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Lesser Evil)
