Cystic Fibrosis was a medical condition affecting the sufferer's lungs and others, causing them to fill with fluid and suffocate.
A sufferer of cystic fibrosis needed to have these fluids drained on a regular basis. They were also more susceptible to respiratory and lung infections.
It was one of a number of handicaps that randomly afflicted Grey Orions, due to their genetic mutilation. (FASA RPG - The Orions module: Book of Deep Knowledge)
