This article is about a Klingon, D'Tang. You may be looking for D'Tan, a Romulan.

D'Tang was a 25th century Klingon woman, an officer in the Klingon Empire serving as captain in both the Klingon Defense Force and the House of B'vat. In the 2400s decade, D'Tang was the commanding officer of the B'rel-class bird of prey IKS Targ. (STO - Klingon War mission: "The Doomsday Device")

Biography[]

D'Tang owned a pet targ. She kept the targ in her ready room. It would remain only mildly interested when she recorded her personal logs.

K'Valk served as D'Tang's first officer aboard the Targ for years. They accumulated honor in battles and served the Great House of Ambassador B'Vat loyally.

Unbeknownst to D'Tang, K'Valk learned of B'Vat's dishonorable conduct in acquiring a planet killer in 2409. K'Valk and other officers planned to take the ship but D'Tang defeated the traitors and threw K'Valk into the brig. She was hurt by the betrayal of somebody she had regarded as a friend. K'Valk reached out to Starfleet Intelligence to stop B'Vat's planet killer.

Starfleet intelligence officer Lieutenant Kyla VanZyl led a mission to the Donia star system, where the Targ was stationed at a Klingon shipyard. Starfleet destroyed the local escorts and sent boarding parties aboard the Targ. D'Tang was killed in a firefight outside her bridge by a Starfleet away team. The team and VanZyl then reviewed D'Tang's log and took control of the Targ. (STO - Klingon War mission: "The Doomsday Device")
