D'ja pagh was the name of the earrings the Bajoran people wear. (TOS novel: Captain's Peril)

They appeared as an elaborate piece of jewelry that were traditionally worn on the right ear and were a symbol of the Bajoran's faith. Each earring was individualized for each person and bore the symbol of the Bajoran's family. Before the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, the D'ja pagh served as a way for determining the caste the individual belonged to under the D'jarra. (DS9 episode: "Accession")
