The DY-700 was a class of ship used by Earth. Among the ships of the class built on Earth included the Alerica.
In the year 2372, Miles O'Brien initially identified the Alerica as a DY-1100, although Worf saw it was an older DY-700 ship. (DS9 novel: The 34th Rule)
