For the mirror universe counterpart, see Dakahna Vaas (mirror).

Dakahna Vaas was a female Bajoran who lived in the 24th century. She was born a few years before her friend Kira Nerys. Dakahna was a member of the Shakaar resistance cell in the 2350s and 2360s.

In 2357, Dakahna expressed her doubts that any liberation of Gallitep was possible due to the booby traps, the Cardassian patrols and the air security. After the camp was liberated, Dakahna praised Kira Nerys for her actions. (TLE - Terok Nor novel: Night of the Wolves)

In 2361, Dakahna participated in a raid on a geological survey station in the hills outside Tempasa. The station was actually a trap created by the Cardassians to test their new sensor grid. Dakahna was captured by the Cardassians and tortured for information on the resistance. The information Dakahna gave them set in motion the Obsidian Order plan to replace Kira with Iliana Ghemor. Corbin Entek later had Dakahna put in a simulation with Ghemor, who believed the Bajoran she was fighting was a hologram. Dakahna was later killed by Ghemor. (DS9 novel: Fearful Symmetry)
