The Dalmine sector was a region of space in the the galaxy's Delta Quadrant. At some point before 2374, a Talaxian freighter was assimilated by the Borg in this sector. (VOY episode: "The Raven")

History

The sector in 2379.

In 2374, liberated Borg Seven of Nine of the Federation starship USS Voyager told her crewmate Neelix of the incident when the Borg assimilated a small freighter and its crew of 39 Talaxians in the Dalmine sector. (VOY episode: "The Raven")

Voyager visited the Talaxian colony in the Dalmine system on stardate 53340 in the year 2376. (ST reference: Star Charts)

Background

  • According to Larry Nemecek, the Dalmine sector was named by writer Bryan Fuller, who derived the name from "Dalmatian". Both Dalmatians and Talaxians have a mottled complexion.
