The Dalmine sector was a region of space in the the galaxy's Delta Quadrant. At some point before 2374, a Talaxian freighter was assimilated by the Borg in this sector. (VOY episode: "The Raven")

The sector in 2379.

In 2374, liberated Borg Seven of Nine of the Federation starship USS Voyager told her crewmate Neelix of the incident when the Borg assimilated a small freighter and its crew of 39 Talaxians in the Dalmine sector. (VOY episode: "The Raven")

Voyager visited the Talaxian colony in the Dalmine system on stardate 53340 in the year 2376. (ST reference: Star Charts)

Background[]

  • According to Larry Nemecek, the Dalmine sector was named by writer Bryan Fuller, who derived the name from "DalmatianWP". Both Dalmatians and Talaxians have a mottled complexion.
