Daniel G. Lane was a 23rd century Human man. He was a civilian zoologist.

Biography[]

Lane was described as high-spirited and impulsive.

In the 2260s, he worked at Genetics Research Station 17 on Aleph III as Carver Destry's research assistant. He often clashed with Doctor D'vin Loctrill and didn't get along well with fellow researcher R'val Trastan.

In 2270, when the Federation chose to evacuate the facility, Lane and technician Randolph Leon left the outpost with Cyrano Jones aboard a gravsled to assess available space in Jones' cargo ship Chameleon. A Klingon landing party ambushed the group, killing Lane and Leon. (FASA RPG - Adventure Book module: Again, Troublesome Tribbles)
