This character is a member of the Paris family.

Daniel Paris, a human male Starfleet officer in the 23rd century, a member of the Paris family.

He previously served on the USS Potemkin and the USS Excalibur.

Paris later served as an aide to James T. Kirk during his stint as Starfleet Chief of Operations, and later went on to rise to the rank of admiral.

He had a plaque at Starfleet Headquarters that said that he earned a reputation for wisdom and courage unmatched by any of his peers.

Paris was the father of Mike and Patricia Paris, the grandfather of Owen and Cole Paris and the great-grandfather of Tom Paris. (STA novel: Progenitor)
