DaniloOdell

Danilo Odell was a male Human native of the planet Bringloid V in the mid 24th century. Though nominally the leader of the Bringloidi people, he allowed his adult daughter, Brenna Odell, to exercise a significant deal of authority. He was among those who were evacuated from Bringloid V by the USS Enterprise-D when that planet's sun entered a period of increased flare activity. It was Odell who informed Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the existence of the lost Mariposa colony.

Danilo was an aficionado of alcoholic beverages, and dismissed the synthehol normally dispensed by the Enterprise replicators as "swill". He enjoyed poteen, and though he was unimpressed with the alcoholic whisky on the Enterprise, he was impressed by the Klingon beverage chech'tluth. (TNG episode: "Up the Long Ladder")

After the reunion of the Bringloidi and Mariposan societies, Danilo served as the Bringloidi Prime Minister, alongside his Mariposan counterpart Wilson Granger. He died sometime prior to 2376, and was succeeded by his daughter Brenna. Her daughter, Danielle, was presumably named after Danilo. (SCE eBook: Out of the Cocoon)
