Danilov was a male security crewperson assigned to the USS Enterprise-E, and a frontline veteran of the Dominion War. Danilov was part of the search and rescue team which went to the planet Tezwa in search of Commander Riker and his missing tactical team. The bodies of Lieutenants Kelly Tierney and Matthew Barnes were found along with Master Chief Razka, but Riker's was nowhere to be found.
When the Enterprise assisted in the aid and rebuilding process, Danilov was one of the first personnel to serve on the surface; he later described the reeking, insect-infested carnage in the major cities which left him with nightmares to Fiona McEwan. (TNG novels: A Time to Kill, A Time to Heal)
