Dar Xarota was an Ondu'u colonist on Arvada III in 2339.
He was part of the rescue team who found a group of Kevrata that crashed landed. Using his sharp vision typical of his people, he located the hard-to-find door of the Kevrata's crashed ship, and the other colonists used his broad back as a stepping stone to get inside. Unfortunately, not long after colonists started succumbing to the Bloodfire plague. (TNG novel: Death in Winter)
