Darryl Hawkins was a human Starfleet junior officer, serving in the late 23rd century. His father was in Starfleet and Darryl always wanted to join. When he was killed by a renegade Klingon Bird-of-prey Darryl decided to follow his steps, knowing it was his father's wish.
During his days at Starfleet Academy, he led a bridge simulation cadet group, acting as its captain. His group included a number of talented cadets, including Sturek and Vanda M'Giia, among others.
During his training he showed perfect performance causing awe to his instructors and classmates. Ten years after his gaduation, he was in command of the Federation flagship. Hawkins is the player character of the game Starfleet Academy Starship Bridge Simulator. In the home computer version the character was named David Forester.
Hawkins' gender and name are costumisable by the player, however the male name "Darryl Hawkins" is the default. If the player chooses a female pilot, the default name is Yolanda Urquan but it can also be customized.
