Dawn Blair was a female human in Starfleet in the 24th century.
In 2380, Lieutenant Commander Blair was chief science officer aboard the USS Rhea. During a mission to star cluster NGC 6281, Blair suffered a near-fatal injury when the Rhea was attacked by the Borg-assimilated vessel Einstein, while defending three children. Her life was saved by Dr. Beverly Crusher of the USS Enterprise-E. (TNG novel: Greater Than the Sum)
