Dawn Velazquez was a 24th century Human woman, by the 2350s decade a career officer in the Federation Starfleet, holding the officer rank of lieutenant.
Biography[]
In the year 2358, Velazquez was a command division officer on the starship USS Pegasus under the command of Captain Erik Pressman in the late 2350s decade. She was killed during the illegal testing of an experimental phasing cloaking device in 2358. (ENT episode: "These Are the Voyages...")
- This character was named for Star Trek producer Dawn VelazquezMA, and her likeness was used in the personnel file. Another Dawn Velazquez turned up serving on the USS Enterprise-D a dozen or so years after the death of this character. While it seems unlikely they could be the same person, there is precedent for characters who are resurrected, cloned or otherwise replaced with alternate versions.
