Chief DeMartis was a Human member of Starfleet who was the head of the team that developed the Shuttlecraft Woodlawn in the 24th century. He was stationed at Starbase 47 overseeing his shuttlecraft project in 2343, when Lieutenant Elias Vaughn returned the shuttle to DeMartis in less-than-pristine condition.
