Delphi IV

Delphi IV was a planet, the fourth planet of the Delphi system, located within Federation space near the Romulan Neutral Zone in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

By the 24th century, Delphi IV was uninhabited.

In 2370, the Federation sent an archeological team including Dr. Rom Ulan to excavate and map the surface. Three months into their mission, they found an underground temple containing the legendary Orb of Knowledge. The USS Enterprise-D was dispatched to transport the Orb to the Vulcan Science Academy for study. While in orbit, the Orb was taken, Ulan and two guards were stunned, and a probe and shuttle were launched. An electromagnetic field surrounding the planet seemed to have interfered with some computer functions aboard the orbiting starship, including personnel tracking data. Lacking that information, Captain Jean-Luc Picard was joined by Admiral Di Lithium to personally lead an investigation. (TNG module: How To Host A Mystery)
