Delta Solanae is a yellow dwarf star and the primary of the Solanae Dyson Sphere, which completely surrounds it. Delta Solanae is located in the Delta Quadrant, close to the Beta Quadrant border and about 30,000 light-years from Earth. Its affiliation is contested between the Voth and the Dyson Joint Command, an alliance between the Romulan Republic, the Federation and the Klingon Empire. In the year 2409, Dyson Joint Command engaged in battle with the Voth while Rear Admiral Tuvok led a mission to secure the Dyson Sun Control space station. This station was located in the atmosphere of the star. The Voth attacked Tuvok and his away team, and the station suffered structural damage. The Undine, led by the undercover asset Eric Cooper, activated an Iconian gateway near the station and the sun that connected Delta Solanae with a ship-sized gateway in the Jenolan Dyson Sphere.
