Deneb III (or Alpha Cygni III) was a planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrants, the third planet in orbit of the Deneb star system.
History and specifics[]

In the 24th century, residents of Deneb III enjoyed an unusual form of recreation. An artificial persona would be implanted for short periods into a person's mind using a type of electro-chemical hypnosis. The subject selected a persona modeled on real people from history or else notable fictional characters, and found the role-play process to be quite relaxing. In 2370, Beverly Crusher adapted the technology for members of the USS Enterprise-D crew. (TNG - Holo-Ween comic: "Issue 2")
